The Process and How to Make a New Passport at the Immigration Office

If you have got a quota queue, the next step is as follows:

Visit the immigration office that has been selected according to the agreed date and time.
  1. Make sure it arrives earlier than the hours listed in the queue.
  2. Bring all the required documents and stationery (preferably black pens). Arrange neatly and put in envelopes / folders.
  3. Use neat and clean clothes. Avoid wearing white clothing because the background of the photo used in the photo session in the passport creation room will be white.
  4. Show a booking code or QR Barcode photo to the service clerk / receptionist.
  5. The clerk will scan the QR. The barcode in printed form contains the serial number of the call for making a passport.
  6. The clerk will also check the completeness of the documents that you have brought.
  7. If the documents are in accordance with the applicable requirements, the clerk will give you a personal data form that needs to be filled in the yellow map.
  8. While waiting for a call, you need to fill in the form that the officer has given correctly and completely.
  9. When your turn comes, give all documents to the authorized officer.
  10. The authorized officer will conduct a brief interview. Usually the questions that are asked are about the reason you applied for a passport. No need to worry, just answer all the questions the officer asked honestly.
  11. If the document is appropriate and meets the requirements, the officer will continue the process to the next stage, which is filling data into the computer system, scanning fingerprints and photo sessions.
  12. When the photo session is finished, the passport creation process is almost complete. You will be given proof of taking your passport along with instructions for payment of passport-making fees.
  13. Payment of the cost of making a passport is done by transfer to the official account number provided by the immigration authorities. Banks that can be chosen for passport payments include BNI, Mandiri, BRI, and BCA.
  14. Passports can be taken directly 4-5 working days after payment is made (or can be longer). Don't forget to bring proof of collection and receipt of proof of payment when coming to the immigration office.
